Welcome to Glenarm Castle Falconry.

We are situated behind the beautiful Victorian Walled Garden at Glenarm Castle just off the stunning Antrim Coast Road, Co.Anrtim Northern Ireland. We are just 12 miles north of the port of Larne and 18 miles east from Ballymena.

Glenarm Castle Falconry boasts the most diverse collection of trained free-flying birds of prey in Ireland and competes with some of the finest demonstrations on offer anywhere in the UK.

Each show lasts approximately 45 minutes during which a variety of species are flown with up to ten individual birds taking part. We have an ongoing programme of training and exciting new species will be added to the flying team throughout the season.

From the comic antics of the vultures to the breathtaking stoop of a falcon, visitors can enjoy these fantastic birds at very close quarters. In addition visitors can have the opportunity to handle and fly some of the birds between shows, depending on weather conditions and staff availability.

Visitors can enjoy delicious home-cooked meals or snacks in the Walled Garden tea room, and make use of the carpark and other shared facilities.

Access to the flying ground is via a charming, wooded walkway (500m) with views over the Walled Garden and historic castle beyond.

The centre is  open five days a week, Wednesday to Sunday from May to September with three unique shows every day at:

12:00 mid-day,  2:00pm and 3:30pm.
(Visitors are escorted from the ticket office to the flying ground by a member of staff ten minutes before each show).

Admission: £4 per adult £2 per child under 12 years.  Group bookings by arrangement through Antrim Estate Office 028 28 841 203.
